Q1: What does it mean to network using social media?
From my personal point of view, networking using social media means to communicate and share informations with other individuals through various social networks. (e.g. Twitter& Instagram) By using those social network platforms, people are able to share their life exprience and exchange new information with others on those platforms, thus trigger new ideas and help build and perfect the professional networks.
Q2: How are we motivated to participate in networked publics?
By participating into the social networks, we are able to get access to a different internet world with various informations, like articles, videos, popular news etc. People participate in networked publics to learn knowledges and communicate with other professionals, and share their insights and ideas to nurture new technology through internet. Nonetheless, people nowadays also participate in gaming community to share daylife gaming experience and maybe make friends through the platforms. For me for example, i also sometimes public some photographs on the social media. By sharing daily exprience, people can get closer to others through the network.
Q3: What are the risks & rewards of public communications?
Risks: When we are exposed to the networked public, the first priority we concern would be internet security. Without a face to face confirmation, many would use the internet as a tool to fulfuill some illegal operations. This could jeopardize our internet enviornment and even influence our reality.
Rewards: Networked public communication helps us expand our social circle, and provide us with a more widely opened environment to learn knowledge and get different ideas from other people. With the professional networks, people and company can get in touch with other professionals and thus widen and upgrade their current business.

People are motivated to participate in networked publics to learn new knowledge, communicate with other professionals, and share their insights and ideas.
There are both risks and rewards to public communications. While there are concerns about internet security and the potential for illegal operations, networked public communication can also help individuals expand their social circle and provide a more open environment for learning and exchanging ideas.
Something I am wondering after reading your post is how individuals can effectively balance the risks and rewards of public communications on social media.

I am particularly touched by your comment on Q3, because my first mobile phone was just because I believed in the blogger and downloaded the software provided by him, which caused my first mobile phone to be completely scrapped. Many lawbreakers combine fraudulent methods with network communication, making more and more potential victims. Therefore, when we use the Internet, we must be careful. Whether in reality or on the Internet, there are many people with ulterior motives.
